Kelsie McKenzie is the fur-covered girl behind the scenes of the blog It’s Dog or Nothing. She is a rescue volunteer, psychology major, marketing graduate student, and an avid dog lover with a particular soft spot for the Great Pyrenees breed. Being a research addict, she can typically be found reading through endless articles and studies regarding canine health and behavior. She is fascinated by search engine optimization and strives to continue developing effective social media strategies.
Kelsie’s love of all things furry and fluffy started at a young age as animals were always present in her home. Her passion for animals has continued as she currently volunteers for her local animal shelter and is a main point of contact for the Great Pyrenees Rescue, Montana. She is also extremely passionate about responsible, positive animal guardianship.
While Kelsie was born and raised in Pennsylvania, she is currently calling Montana home. With a husband in the Air Force, home never stays the same for long. As a military spouse, Kelsie enjoys moving from place to place with her husband and two Great Pyrenees, Mauja and Atka. After seeing the high prevalence of the common and tragic disorder, PTSD, Kelsie hopes to use animals to make a difference in the lives of those battling this debilitating condition. She is currently working with Atka on the skills necessary to become a certified therapy dog.
When Kelsie is not working on her blog, she can be found enjoying a good workout or snuggled up on the couch with her husband and dogs, enjoying a cup of coffee, and watching her favorite TV shows.
