Jennifer Kachnic is the president of The Grey Muzzle Organization. Founded in 2008, Grey Muzzle provides grants to animal shelters and rescues nationwide for senior dog programs such as medical care, adoption, hospice, food assistance and orthopedic bedding.

Jennifer is also the award-winning author of the book Your Dog’s Golden Years – A Manual for Senior Dog Care Including Natural Remedies and Complementary Options. In this seminal work, 20 canine experts reveal the stages of a dog’s life, describe ailments that senior dogs often encounter and provide remedies and solutions for care. The experts share therapies, treatments and simple techniques that embrace both traditional veterinary and holistic practices.

Jennifer has spent her life volunteering, working and caring for dogs as a certified therapy dog handler, a reiki practitioner and certified canine massage therapist. She has also trained numerous service dogs for Canine Companions for Independence and fostered hundreds of dogs for local animal shelters.

Jennifer lives in Denver, Colo. where she also owns and manages a commercial construction company.
