Camille Schake is the founder of the Good Pet Parent Blog, an author, and former Registered Veterinary Technician. Through Good Pet Parent, she shares information on pet health, veterinary terminology, and animal behavior and communication to help pet parents better understand and care for their animal companions.

An animal lover practically from birth, Camille is currently writing a series of e-books that translate complex veterinary topics and medical terminology into concepts that are easy to understand. She is passionate about the welfare of both companion and food animals, and has been a volunteer for Whispering Hope Ranch, an animal sanctuary and summer camp for children and adults with special needs located in Payson, Arizona, since 2008.

Originally from Ohio, Camille now calls Arizona home. She lives in the Phoenix area with her husband and three cats, Jasper, Trouble, and Squirt. A true Mid-westerner at heart, Camille bakes a mean bread pudding with whiskey sauce. When she’s not writing, you can find her practicing yoga, mountain hiking, enjoying sushi, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, or paragliding above the beach in San Diego.
