Affiliates are provided with a customized suite of assets, resources and tools to share with staff, supporters and adopters. This Positively Success Kit includes both print and web-ready flyers and resources to help your organization:

• Alleviate pressure points felt by new adopters, specifically regarding training and behavior-related questions and issues.
• Highlight for supporters easily winnable paths towards supercharging the organization’s goals
• Provide a structured ecosystem for staff and volunteers to use from the most trusted name in positive training

The program’s goal is to assist non-profit shelter and rescue organizations in helping dogs (and their new people) thrive in their new homes.

Affiliates earn commissions on every paid Positively course enrolled via their unique discount code, providing positive, trusted and accessible educational content for guardians while generating revenue directly from Positively to support their operations and reach their goals.

What are the eligibility requirements?
Any not-for-profit organization whose mission and core operations focus on pet rescue, rehoming and adoption is eligible to become a Positively Affiliate Shelter. Organizations around the world are encouraged to apply to become Positively Affiliate Shelters. Note that this program is not designed for individual pet professionals.

Does it cost anything to join?
No. Becoming a Positively Shelter Affiliate is completely free, and in fact all organizations are eligible to receive donations from Positively in the form of commissions earned from every paid course enrolled in by someone using their unique affiliate offer code.

How does my organization earn commission?
Positively will donate $1 (USD or local currency equivalent) for every paid course enrolled in by someone using the unique affiliate offer code provided to the organization upon enrollment in the program. Affiliate organizations are encouraged to provide staff, supporters and adopters with the ready-made digital and print-ready resources with their affiliate offer code on them to encourage their audience to take Positively’s accessible free and low-cost online courses and generate revenue for the organization.

What do we get when our organization becomes an affiliate?
Affiliates are provided with a digital Positively Success Kit, which includes resources and documents that arrive ready for you to customize with your organization’s information and - most importantly - your unique Positively offer code. 

Examples of documents within the kit include printable and web-ready flyers to provide new adopters in both paper and digital formats that contain links to Positively’s free and low-cost online courses and other resources to help get them and their new dog off on the right paw.

The kit also includes ready-made documents to share with your organization’s network of supporters to help encourage accessible, easy-to-follow positive training tips as well as opportunities to generate revenue from Positively on behalf of your organization.

My organization is not based in the UK or USA - can we still join?
Yes! The program is available to rescue and shelter organizations large and small all over the world.

How do my organization’s commissions get paid?
All earned commissions are paid via PayPal. If your organization does not have a PayPal account, they are free and easy to set up here.

I’m a pet professional but not a shelter or rescue - can I join?
No, the Positively Shelter Affiliate is only for organizations whose mission and primary operations are as animal shelters or rescues. Positively will be launching a separate Pet Pro Affiliate program for trainers and other pet professionals in late 2025.

What type of certification document do we need to upload?
The Positively Shelter Affiliate application form requires applicants to upload some type of documentation showing proof of the applying organization’s status as a shelter or rescue organization. Examples include 501(c)3 acceptance notifications, registered charity certificates, letters from local or national authorizing bodies, etc.  If we have questions about documentation submitted, we will be in touch during the application review process for additional documents or clarification.

What happens after we apply?
Upon successful submission of your application on this page, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging our receipt of your application. Our team will review all applications in the order in which they are received. Standard processing times for applications are approximately 6-8 weeks, at which time the applicant will be contacted notifying them regarding whether the organization is approved as a Positively Shelter Affiliate.

Upon acceptance into the program, the organization will receive their customized Positively Success Kit, including unique offer codes to share with staff, adopters and supporters, as well as other resources.

Who should apply on behalf of an organization?
Anyone who has the approval of the organization’s leadership is eligible to complete the application on behalf of the organization. 

Can we refer other rescues to this with our affiliate links?
We encourage you to share details about the Positively Shelter Affiliate program with your peer organizations, but each affiliate will have its own unique offer code they use to generate revenue from paid course enrollments by their supporters.
