Animals, and especially dogs have always played an important role in Jess` live, and she has been a fan of Victoria and her show "It's me or the dog" from Day one. When the Victoria Stilwell Academy was founded, Jess took some time off from her job as an Elementary School Teacher to follow her calling and become a Certified Dog Trainer. She is a very empathetic person that loves working with dogs and their humans to help improve their lives together.

After having graduated with distinction, she returned to Germany and became the founder of “Dogtastic - Positive Dog Training” in Worms, which is located near well-known cities such as Heidelberg, Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern. 

Dogtastic offers in-home training sessions for German and English speakers. As a CSAT (Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer), Jess also helps handlers with dogs suffering from separation anxiety via virtual consultations. It was when her rescue dog Scylla struggled with panic attacks while being left alone that Jess decided to specialize in this area. She got some help by an amazing CSAT and was baffled by the results they achieved together.

Dogtastic also offers group classes in cooperation with “Die HuZis” (short for “Die Hundeerzieher”), which translates into “The Dog Educators”. It is a collaboration of dog trainers that share the same philosophy and whose mission is to bring positive training to as many dog handlers as possible.

“Die HuZis” enjoy an exceptional reputation in the region and offer a variety of classes, including: 
Loose Leash Walking, Recall, Basic Manners, Puppy Classes, Nose Work, supervised Play Groups, Social Walks, City Training, Anti-Poison Bait Training, Fun Agility, Trick Training, Dummy Classes, Dog License, Dog Physio, Bonding Classes, as well as fun Summer and Winter Games for human and dog. They also hold Webinars and Workshops covering various topics. 

Since her graduation, Jess has continuously participated in further education to stay up to date and expand her knowledge in dog training. Amongst others, she has a certification of the “Aggression in Dogs Master Course” by Michael Shikashio.

Jess also holds the permission according to Paragraph §11 (1) of the Animal Protection Act for the Commercial Training of Dogs in Germany, that is only given to dog trainers by the Veterinary Office that have proven their qualification.
