Hi! I’m Pilar and I love what I do…

My passion for dogs began as a child in Quito, Ecuador where I often brought home street rescues. After being awarded Miss Ecuador at 18 and graduating college in Louisiana, I received my dog training certification and decided to make my dream a reality. Afterwards, I opened School of Paws – a full-service canine training program located in beautiful San Diego! In addition to private training, I also teach classes offered with Get Pawsitive Dog Training and am a volunteer at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. 

As a pet owner, I’ve found that establishing and nurturing trust is key to having successful relationships with my pets. Especially for Koda our German Shepard, who has been especially receptive to positive training methods. As a result, the strong bond between us keeps getting better each day!
