Kind K9s is a Quad City area, family owned business. As life-long QC residents we pride ourselves in being a part of the local community of pet owners, not some big corporate chain that thinks dog training has a one-size-fits-America approach. Janette Park is the founder and lead trainer at Kind K9s. She has graduated with distinction from three dog training schools (Animal Behavior College, Victoria Stilwell Academy, Karen Prior Academy, and has achieved the benchmark certification for dog trainers, by earning her CPDT-KA (certified professional dog trainer). Janette has also been awarded Fear Free certification, is an AKC Good Citizen evaluator, Certified Trick Dog instructor, Certified Pet Nutritionist and graduate of one of the Nation’s largest pet services company’s dog trainer program. In the pursuit of constant ways to improve our clients experience, Janette never stops learning and is currently pursuing her B.S. in Animal Health and Behavior at Unity College. Her extensive education and training is combined with the better part of a decade of hands-on training experience. Originally inspired to begin her career in dog training by struggles with her own dogs, Janette knows what its like to be in the shoes of the client that seeks help with aggressive or reactive dogs, as well as the simple desire for a well- mannered family pet. When you become a client at Kind K9s, you will meet one-on-one with Janette to establish the training plan that works best for you and your dog.

We offer the most versatile training program anywhere! You can train with us online in virtual sessions, in-person, or both. We have adapted our curriculum around the busy lifestyles of our clients, offering convenient weekend and evening hours, in addition to the normal weekday hours of operation. We believe in positive reinforcement training methods, which are proven to be the most effective, and most humane way to educate your pet. The positive reinforcement process is the heart and soul of the Kind K9s approach and ensures your dog will respond out of love and admiration, never fearfulness. This process ensures the bond between pet and pet- parent is the anchor point of all the fun new skills you’ll learn together. Everything your dog learns through training with Kind K9s can be done in the comfort of your own home. Practicing the tricks and behaviors never feels like a chore, as both you and your dog will have lots of fun! The positive reinforcement approach rewards the behavior you desire, which means your dog will want to work for you. There are no quick fixes or shortcuts in our method. We make sure that both dogs and their families have a long-term plan for success that extends far beyond graduation day. We offer a variety of courses to keep material engaging and fresh and we are always adding new courses to the curriculum.
