Ask Victoria – Sam (Colorado)

I just adopted a puppy from the shelter last week, and we just started training. He is doing well on the potty training, he rarely pees in the house, but he is having problems with my cat.  My cat keep hissing and he keeps barking.  My other question is with the lead training.  He pulls a lot, and I tried the stop and wait methods, but when I continue to walk without him, he plops himself onto the floor and will not move for anything!  Then I tried the walking the other way method, and it seems to be working (some of the time) but he still pulls hard, runs ahead of me and keeps pulling.
