20141018_153816_1Fifteen years ago when I trained my first puppy of my own the training classes were all about choke collars and rough training.

Now I have a new puppy and while puppy classes are gentler and more positive there still have been some questionable techniques we opted out of. The leave it command for example was being trained very harshly in class, so we took a potty break during that exercise.20141001_063714

After class at home I found a much better technique on the Positively website. Thank you for teaching us how to teach our companions so we can all reap the rewards of positive training.
