Should The Woman Who Duct Taped a Dog’s Mouth Have Been Allowed to Keep Her Dogs?
Victoria was recently featured on HLN's The Daily Share, where she chatted with anchor Michelle Knowles about the controversial animal cruelty case of a woman who duct taped her dog's mouth shut and posted in on social media. The photo quickly went viral and resulted in a flood of calls to various law enforcement agencies.
The woman was ultimately charged with a count of animal cruelty, but was ultimately allowed to keep both of her dogs because officers found them to be in good physical condition.
Victoria and Michelle discuss why this was not considered felony animal cruelty and whether or not allowing her to keep the dogs was the right call.
The rescue of 180 Chihuahuas sparks a larger conversation on how to transition dogs from crisis situations into homes.
