Hi Victoria and Holly. Firstly, I just want to say that, Victoria, I am a huge fan of your show. I have worked around and with dogs my whole life and for the past couple years have begun training dogs. I have trained my own dogs (I have a pit bull and a pit bull/rottweiler mix), as well as helped out friends and relatives. I always use positive reinforcement and I love the fact that you are able to speak out on a large scale about the benefits of positive reinforcement and the damaging results of dominance-based training.

Anyways, I just found out about your podcast and I am working on catching up to the most recent show! I just wanted to tell you what I found out about the hero dog who rescued his buddy from the highway. I have found conflicting news stories and so I am not quite sure which one is true; although I want to believe that everyone survived!

This footage is from CBS and says that the injured dog was killed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1u5VSYeJYM&feature=fvw
This is an article that states the stray had died. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/3688918/Dogs-motorway-rescue-grips-viewers.html

However, as the previous commenter posted, this site says that he survived! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofpYRITtLSg

I hope this helps, although you have probably already found out the answer to your question!

    Amanda
