More About the Course

Learn how to teach your dog how to walk politely on leash! NO MORE PULLING! The skills you will learn in this two day course are based on behavior science and are force-free. No chokers, no prong collars, no aversive methods whatsoever. Your dog will learn to walk with you because s/he wants to walk with you!!!

Perhaps you’ve already mastered the basics. Your dog is great when it comes to sit, down, recall, even stay. It’s all good, except for one very important skill: Loose Leash Walking! Possibly the most difficult skill for people to master and teach to their dogs, walking nicely on a leash is so very important. Dogs who are able to walk politely on leash are taken out more, get more exercise, are more social, and well-adjusted. If going for a walk with your dog means that your dog is pulling you all over, it is not only uncomfortable, it can be downright dangerous.

This 2 day intensive workshop will give you the tools and techniques you and your dog need to master loose leash walking.

Do you want to learn and be able to offer your clients a force free method for teaching loose leash walking? Do you want clients to be able to master this skill quickly and efficiently? This workshop will teach you how to teach your clients!

The first day of this workshop (Friday) is for trainers ONLY. Class size will be limited to 10 trainers so as to offer you an opportunity to get close and familiar with the method. Through a combination of lecture, discussion, demonstration and hands on coaching, you will learn how to teach your clients. There will be plenty of time for Q&A as well. Then continue to build on your skills by attending Saturday, or Sunday, or both days.

Option to Attend Day 2 (Saturday): You will attend as a student, participate with your own dog, and gain valuable insight into teaching the method.

Option to Attend Day 3 (Sunday): You will attend as a student teacher. You will not work with your personal dog, but rather act as an instructor, under the guidance of two internationally recognized Victoria Stilwell Positively Dog Trainers.

For this course you bring your own dog, leash, food treats, and lots of toys and enthusiasm. No prior training is required, but as your dog will be expected to be sociable around other dogs and team members, no aggression problems please.

If you have an aggressive dog, please contact [email protected] for other options.
