Alarms?
Fan anyone tell me where victoria gets the alarms that she puts on cupboards and fridges and things? These seem like a great idea, but I have never seen them in the shops.

From what I've heard, Victoria now longer uses those products anymore. If you have a dog trying to get into the trash, you might try locking it in the cupboard (or putting it in a spot where the dog can't get it) and teaching a "leave it" and "drop it" cues.

Re: Alarms?
Oh, yes, I have put it in a cupboard. I was just wondering that's all. They have been repeating the programme on the Sky channels using these alarms and I wondered where they came from. I don't want to use one. I used to keep the bin in the downstairs bathroom, but it has a sliding door, so last week I came home to a broken bathroom door and rubbish everywhere. My newfoundland had just walked straight through to get the bin. then I cleared a cupboard that he cannot open!

For the trash bin get one with a pedal, like these:

In one recent US episode, there was a dog who could tip the can over and get to the trash, so Victoria put a weight in the bottom. Like these: http://www.amazon.com/Body-Solid-lb-Oly ... 402&sr=1-4

I have tried one with a pedal. He puts his foot on it and opens it. My one has a lid which you push and it pops up. Didn't take him long to figure that out! It is safe enough in the cupboard, as that has a knob that you turn so he cannot open that.
