Re: A few shots of my trio Apollo Khan and Chloe
The shot took 25 takes to get something I liked.
Re: A few shots of my trio Apollo Khan and Chloe
Did you use a continuous shot then?
Re: A few shots of my trio Apollo Khan and Chloe
Yes and no.
There were 25 seperate tosses of the frisbee and about 3 frames shot for the tosses worth shooting. It was an exercise in patience and working to capture what I intended. Trust me its difficult to both toss the frisbee and then get the camera ready for the shot I had several frames of missing body parts, background objects I did not want in the shot like trashcans and people, several out of focus shots and at least 6 of the throws he missed on the catch and another 4 were bad throws. Some of the trows were too distant.
For myself what I really love about this shot is the lighting and that you can see part of his face around the frisbee. At some point I need to get someone else to throw the frisbee towards me and get him coming from the front or the side.
When I began shooting, my goal was only to get a nice shot of Apollo catching his frisbee...the time of day, and background were only decided when we arrived and then then took a lot of practice shots....I stopped once we got this (at least taking pictures) we continued to play frisbee of course and had a great time.
Interstingly enough about 40 minutes after this shot I had a great sunset shot with the moon at the dog park
