Exercise with a stiff leg

Hi,

Ben woke up yesterday after a couple of hours sleeping and didn't want to put any weight on his back right leg. I though maybe it was just a bit stiff after laying on it for a while. He was fine this morning but when he'd rested after his walk he was stiff on it again and now it's like he's walking on his toes with a hobble. I've had a good feel of his leg from toes to hip and nothing seems to bother him so I was thinking maybe I should rest him tomorrow or is it better to try and let him run it off?

Don't really want to take him to the vets because they charge so much and will probably give him Metacam and lead walks only for a few days, what fun as Ben doesn't know how to walk on a lead, only pull!!
