Here's a few of Ted from not long after we got him to a few days ago, my how he's grown
He's been a fan of towels and towelling since we bought him home, you'll see them in a few photos
This is a classic Ted face, he quickly worked out that sitting nicely got him what he was after Here he's angling to come up on the sofa.
Ted loves to run, here we see him flying
On the decking on holiday (hence a bit sandy still from the beach). The cross on his chest is shaped like a dove I think
First stab at working out how to get a treat out from under a pot. This was followed by much jumping about and yapping
Two days ago, I naively thought that the bean bag would be great for me to get on the floor and play with Ted Ted had other ideas and now has two beds and brilliant place to "dig" and jump around
(Thanks to Minkee for helping me sort out how to get the photos on here )

Re: Ted
Oh my gosh Clare, how do you get anything done in a day?? All I'd want to do is cuddle that little cutie all day long! He is so adorable! And I love the 'dove' on his chest - how sweet is that??

Re: Ted
Oh thanks both, he's a looker that's for sure, but then I am biased
Suzette I think I am desensitised to him a bit so I can resist! Plus training takes up loads of time so I am grateful when he is amusing himself or asleep (as he is now, on his back, legs in the air, next to me ). Also I've come to realise through this forum that Ted doesn't actually like to be cuddled, lying next to you yes, he'll "ask" to get up on the sofa with us, but then he wants to curl up next to us on his own terms or get comfy on a cushion (and maybe have a little chew of it ).

Re: Ted
Aw, he's so cute!!!
I can't imagine how I'd adapt to having such a small dog... I'd be terrified of standing on him, or losing him But I'm sure he's still 100% dog - and I love his dove!

He is incredibly cute and dinky, but he's also got a clever little gleam to his eye. If any dog was plotting to take over the world it has to be this one!
Re: Ted
Ted is so gorgeous and adorable, Clare! The white cross does like either a dove -and in some ways- an Eagle! Maybe that's why it looks like he's flying when he's running!

Re: Ted
We have a no shoes in the house rule, he's pretty good at keeping from under our feet but if he does run into us at least it's a bit softer, although when we first got him and he was only 600g we spent all our time looking at the floor to make sure we didn't hurt him! The upside is you don't need much ground clearance to keep things out of his wayJudyN wrote:I can't imagine how I'd adapt to having such a small dog... Pippin would look huge next to Ted! Although I'd like to see Ted trying to keep up with Odin's climbing (he would have a go, at age 12 weeks he surprised me by suddenly climbing up me and onto the sofa when I was sat on the floor playing with him)Flyby wrote: And I thought Pippin was little...
No one would suspect such a cute bundle would they, and therein lies his geniusminkee wrote:He is incredibly cute and dinky, but he's also got a clever little gleam to his eye. If any dog was plotting to take over the world it has to be this one!
For such a tiny tot he can run very fast, he easily keeps up with me when playing chase ... although maybe that says more about my speedwvvdiup1 wrote:The white cross does like either a dove -and in some ways- an Eagle! Maybe that's why it looks like he's flying when he's running!

i think you get used to keeping one eye on the floor with small dogs - i grew up with a silky/fox terrier mix and while she was nowhere NEAR that small, it did give me very good "small dog fu" (as in kung fu) senses. now even if gypsy (pom/chi) manages to get right under my feet, my brain/spine reflex will shoot my foot out to plant it next to her instead of on top of her

Fundog wrote:"The cross on his chest looks like a dove..." So it does, that is freaking cool!
The dove just appeared one day (or rather we just spotted it), tri coloured chihuahuas have this cross style marking but I've not noticed one this shape beforeCoolDog wrote:He's is such a sweetie! Dove or Eagle, he likes to fly when he runs!
The vids I have are quite poor, I do need to take some more though (and I have hundreds of photos!). Am looking at my boyfriend's fancy camera in confusion (what happened to the days of point and shoot?) but will see what I can doemmabeth wrote:What a cute little guy! More please (vids??)
I love "small dog fu", brilliant chay Thankfully as he's gotten older Ted has started to realise that he has to take some responsibility for keeping himself safe from feet so he's usually far enough away to easily be in sight.chay wrote:i grew up with a silky/fox terrier mix and while she was nowhere NEAR that small, it did give me very good "small dog fu" (as in kung fu) senses
