Even experienced homecheckers can be fooled.

Post by Mattie »

Pooh And Piglet are 2 Staffies, mother and son, who came into RDR pound and was rehomed together. The homechecker was very experience and isn't fooled easily but she was this time. RDR was told that they were fighting for an hour, one would have been seriously injured or even dead if they had and someone was to go for them.

When the person went to pick them up they were different dogs, gone was the friendly, kissable, confident Staffies, in their place was 2 cringing, terrified little dogs.

The person who picked them up noticed a soft lump one Piglet, yesterday RDR received this short vidio of Piglet and the damage that has been done to her thanks to these people. Poor Piglet has had the **** kicked out of her.

These 2 dogs have always lived together but now they have to be split up although nobody believes they have had a fight, they can't take the chance. Pooh cried all night the first one they were seperated even though they can see each other.

RDR will probably never find out what has happened and at least these 2 dogs are now safe. How can people do this to 2 lovely little dogs?

Those that are members of RDR you can read the story of their return and also see pictures of the couple who done this to them.

No, it wasn't me who done the homecheck but the person who did is very experienced and takes quite a lot to get past her.

That is awful, the bruising is unbelievable. What I don't understand is why the people gave them back - surely if they did it to the dogs themselves they wouldn't want to publicise it by giving the dogs back? If they did it then I hope they get what they deserve.

Pooh and Piglet went back to the vets today and Piglet's swelling and bruising is a lot better. It says a lot for their temperament when all they wanted to do was kiss everyone in the waiting room.

RDR keep track of all the dogs they rehome and send to other rescues so they would have been found out anyway if they hadn't phoned to have the dogs taken back.
