Teagan is now almost 18 weeks and has a 'small' collar from PAH which is on the last notch and I can still get 2 fingers under it but it's getting a bit snug so I don't want to keep her wearing it for too much longer. But I bought her a 'medium' one aswell which is HUGE on her, on the tightest notch it would easily slip over her head and it is wider too so looks like one of those elizabethan collar thingies on her! Why is there no in-between 'small' and 'medium'!?! :bangs head:
Is there anywhere online I can get a new one from that maybe has a wider range of sizes at all?

Em beat me to it, she makes fantastic collars, I will get one for Merlin probably when the house is sold.
TRPD provides collars, leads, coats, blankets etc to rescues for the dogs which the rescues find are really useful.

Hee hee, this does bode well for a certain fourlegged person's birthday gift (watch this space). You also get to choose your own sparkly bits which is tres fun .Mattie wrote:Em beat me to it, she makes fantastic collars, I will get one for Merlin probably when the house is sold.
Whatever you pick though the one thing I would say is don't get a collar with one of these new fangled plasic clip things (where you shove on part inside another and it pops to close). I had one for Ellie when she was a pup and the catch gave out on the collar right next to a fairly busy road. VERY scary, good job she had a good recall. So get an old fasioned buckle everytime.

Some collars have very cheap fasteners on the collars but if you get a collar of someone like Em or TRPD the fasteners are good quality and don't slip out. It happened to me once before I found TRPD and for many years I wouldn't use them.Ocelot0411 wrote: Whatever you pick though the one thing I would say is don't get a collar with one of these new fangled plasic clip things (where you shove on part inside another and it pops to close). I never walk my dogs on the collar always a harness for safety. If you dog suddenly leaps forward he can do a lot of damage to his neck. This happened to a neighbours dog and Buster was sent to a specialising hospital for major surgery, it was a case of operate or loose their dog.
