Hello,
While browsing this site, someone mentioned a sticky for loose leash walking. Something to do 10 minutes before each walk. I can't find this sticky, and I could really use it! My 28 lb. terrier mix goes nuts pulling the entire walk after squirrels, birds, rabbits, etc... Luckily, she is small and light, but after 20 min or so, it gets a bit annoying. If anyone has a link to it, please let me know!

It isn't just 10 minutes before every walk, at first you replace the walk with the loose lead walking training, split it up into several times a day of 10 to 15 minutes and your dog will soon get the idea. The mental energy your dog will have to use when you are doing this will tire him out just as much as a good walk will so think in time and not distance at the moment.
Gradually as he gets better at it your walks will automatically start to get longer because he is walking better on the lead, you go at his pace all the time.
This does work, it has worked for me with several dogs of my own, people I have shown how to do it and on here it has worked for quite a few owners who were having problems.
Sometimes it has to be tweeked to suit the dog so ask questions if you don't understand or he isn't getting it. The idea is not to let him be in a position were he can pull so he doesn't learn to pull, if you turn as soon as his head is in front of you he will soon pick it up.

So basically, you want to keep the leash loose all of the time. As soon as the dog starts to go in front of you, quickly turn and go the opposite direction after saying "Close"? I believe I still have a regular harness, and I also have a Sporn non-pulling harness. I will try the regular one first.
