Woofstock

Post by GoofyDog2 »

Hello everyone! I went to Woofstock in Harrisburg on Sunday. I decided not to take Mahlee because she gets skittish and fearful with strange people and dogs and I thought this event would be overwhelming. And I'm sure it would have been as there were probably at least a thousand people and maybe even more dogs of all shapes and sizes, and the park is narrow so you have to thread your way past everyone.

I arrived about 11:30 and met Paul&Muttley and his friend Georgie, and we found a good spot at a picnic table near one of the live music venues. We went to some of the many booths that were set up for all kinds of dog rescues as well as things like free nail clipping, samples of dog food and treats, training demos, and all sorts of dog paraphenalia such as leashes, collars, bandanas, treats, and toys. Victoria was signing her book from 12 until 1:00 PM, at which time she was scheduled to give her 15 minute Q&A session. My camera is still not much good but Paul took lots of pictures and he emailed them to me and also posted them on his http://www.MuttleyDog.com website to share.

Here are photos of the crowd waiting for Victoria to speak:

Muttley has a new pal. His canine buddy is a mix of Malemute and Husky and other breeds, very much like a Native American Indian Dog:

Another picture of his pal. Looks like quite a bit of wolf heritage!

There was a sponsored walk earlier in the day, to raise money, but I didn't get there in time for that, and you were supposed to register. Maybe next year. :)
