Hi
One of my friends is thinking about adding a cat to her household as her Labrador loves cats and half his animal friends are cats and she was asking me how do you find out about cat behouvour and training you know like before you get a dog you can research and learn about dog behouviour and reading and learning about positively training.
Does anyone know how you can find out this info for a cat?
I know this is a dog form but!!!?

Join a cat forum? Go to the library and find a book on the subject?

My mentor recently got into cat behavior. Here are some books she recommends:
Cat Culture: The Social World of a Cat Shelter - Janet M. Alger & Steven F. Alger
Think Like a Cat - Pam Johnson-Bennett
Cat vs. Cat - Pam Johnson-Bennett
Starting from Scratch: How to Correct Behavior Problems in Your Adult Cat - Pam Johnson-Bennett
Training Your Cat - Dr. Kersti Seksel
Cat Owner’s Home Veterinary Handbook, 3rd ed. - Debra Eldredge, DVM
Tell Your Cat You're Pregnant - Dr. Lewis Kirkham
And Clickertraining.com has a cat section here that's probably worth checking out.

Make sure you introduce the cat slowly to the rest of the animals in your house. Keep him in a separate room and slowly give them both interaction and treats when they both behave well.
