just joined

Post by Pauline »

hello, I've just joined after reading Victoria's book, which was recommended to me at puppy training class. I am a first time dog owner, with a schnoodle of 14 weeks, who has stolen my heart. She is doing really well on Victoria's methods after a bit of a disaster with the 'I'm pack leader' method. Such a relief to be able to relax and enjoy my puppy.

Thing is she knows she's cute - looks can be deceptive. We were doing great with toilet training then today she's peed inside twice despite being taken out and then coming in and minutes later she has peed. It's frustrating but the look of pure innocence on her face makes me want to laugh!

Ah, but she is innocent :D The double wee thing is quite common. Often you have to take them out, bring them in, and then take them straight out again.

But being able to laugh when they pee where they shouldn't, completely ignore you, or nick your lunch is a very important skill, without which you'd slowly go completely crazy

Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner, it's difficult to get involved with the computer at the moment - spells disaster as I can't get Wi-Fi connection in our kitchen. The double wee tip about taking her out again immediately helped. This morning though the weather was vile, she poked her nose out of the door, obviously thought naa and promptly weed on the floor!!

Hahaha Bax does that to. It's raining, it's miserable, i take him out and as soon as his paws touch the ground he turns right around and nopes back inside. usually if i can turn him around again and drag him out properly he'll resign himself to his fate and at least attempt a sniff around (if only to humor me)
