I found a squeaky, furry stuffed hedgehog, which happened to be Nova's old puppy toy. I put it on the end of a leash, the end without the snap and dragged it across the yard for a while, even dangled it for the dogs. They stared at me like I'd gone goofy. We'll have to work on this game. I gotta get 9-year-old Chessie to do something besides laze around all day.

You know, Kristen, your chis might be more interested in some cat toys instead. They are more their size, and the design for those small, rodent-hunting dogs. And the little tinkling bells and squeaks might be more apt to get their attention too.
