Question about potatoes?

Post by Fudgeandcoco »

Hi

Fudge is fed raw and I was wondering if it's OK to feed her ordinary white potatoes once a week ( she has a Sunday roast with me) and is it OK that this is the only meal not raw as I feed it her cooked?

Yes, Jasper is raw fed but gets assorted leftovers, including cooked potatoes. Be sparing if they're roast, as they'll be quite fatty. And don't give her gravy as it can be salty.

In general I treat 'leftovers' as not really nutritional, but a treat, so I keep the quantities small - he's a big dog but might get one small potato, a few peas & carrots, a sprout if I'm feeling brave...

I do similarly :) but as my dogs have cast-iron digestions, I give them anything they'll enjoy that is plain (we are very plain eaters).

It has NEVER been known for us to have left-over roast potatoes though. Does not compute :?: :!:
