I was going to private message a few people but I thought this might be a topic that others would find helpful. Rather than wait for Ella's first season to descend I thought I'd get a bit organised and order a couple of pairs of b tch pants (might get myself some whilst I'm at it ).
At the moment I'm thinking of getting a pair of these http://www.mikkipet.com/?mikki_care=hyg ... or-bitches
Does anyone have any favourite brands or suggestions
To be clear I am not either expecting to use these as a contraceptive although I expect to use them for supervised play early and late in her season. I may also use them occasionally to keep the sofa/carpet clean but I do not plan to have her wear them for anything other than short periods of time.
I'm also wondering about view on the liners? I was thinking that it would be better to have a few pairs of pants and wash them frequently given I don't expect to use them for for hours on end. Views?

The big risk with these is causing infection because they trap the ladybits into 'warm and wet' which is an ideal environment for bacteria. Once infection is established it can easily grumble away into what we are always threatened with by the unenlightened - pyometra.
Honestly - for most ladydogs (bendog's Poppy or is it Sasha excluded!) you hardly notice the season. Most ladydogs clean up after themselves - a few don't, but even then a damp cloth is enough to wipe up any drips.

So I'd be better to hold off, not bother and cross my fingers I don't have a "streamer"
I'll just get some for myself then

Poppy is the unbelievably messy one, Sasha has just had a season and we barely noticed. Pops manages to get spots EVERYWHERE. But it's only really bad for the first few days, so I can live with the mess, it's her behaviour that is difficult to deal with during seasons.
We nearly always have covers over the sofa anyway, spots on the kitchen or hall floor wipe up easily, and the carpet is black so we just don't see the mess

Piper's first heat was moderately messy. But I also covered furniture with blankets, towels, etc. and kept up after the drips and really it wasn't all that bad. Her second and third heats were much "cleaner". I still covered the furniture, but there were barely any drips to clean up.
