Slightly weak leg

For the last few weeks I have noticed my dog is not putting much weight on his right back leg.
He is not limping, and still runs around with tons of energy. However he is a little more cautious going upstairs and will not jump up on his hind legs. (which he used to from time to time)

Not sure if I should take him to the vets. He is only 2 and seems fine in himself. Hes a lab/german shepherd cross. Just noticed the other day when wiping his paws that there is one leg he doesn't apply much weight to.

Any ideas?

Also while on the subject of health care. Can anyone recommend a good insurance company for dogs? (hes a bit accident prone so think I need to get him covered!)
