Dry, rough nose

Post by CoolDog »

A couple of months ago, I've noticed my dog has a dry, rough nose, so I called my vet to ask what I could do about it. The thing is, I don't have the funds right now to take her to the vets, but I am wanting to know what I could do in the meantime before it gets any worse, because the cracks that have formed on her nose and I need to put some sort of salve on it that won't hurt my dog should she lick her nose. I did put Vasoline on it, but she licks that off. Any suggestions? :(

How about applying coconut oil? It's very easily absorbed and posts no harm if your dog licks it off (of course, if he's allergic to coconut oil, that doesn't apply!) =D
