Hello
Does anyone have any ideas for calming a collie down after a cleg (horse) fly has been attached to her. It's now removed (what little nasties they are) but she spent all evening thinking it was there still and still again in the morning (she did have two bites I think so all I had was apple cider vinegar to wipe over them) and she wouldn't settle no matter what we tried to distract her or calm her. Even upon falling asleep, she would jump and think it was there still. The bites didn't seem to bother her as she was not specifically focussed on them - just in the general back area.
Something with valerian do you think?

I get a terrible reaction to them, try rescue remedy if that doesn't help she may need a piriton.

Yes I think I may go and buy some rescue remedy. I presume you just buy the human one

Do you have any colloidial silver or aloe vera? Either of these on it will help, also vinegar used to help if I had nothing else to put on them. Tomorrow is too late for the RR, but not to late to put something on them.

I did have a free pot of lintbells silvercare but gave it away...
I did ACV last thing at night but it was also more the nerves and her inability to settle - she kept thinking it was there still around her back. She almost needed a sedative!
