Halter for short nosed dogs

Post by danshe »

I watched a recent episode in which Victoria used a halter she said was specifically for short nosed breeds. Is there any way to find out what halter this is?
I've tried both the halti and gentle leader with my dog. They were adjusted by a trainer to fit appropriately. Neither worked with my staffy. They both rubbed and the halti led to an infection.

Does anyone know which brand she used?

Ver few Staffies will adapt to wearing anythink like a headcollar or muzzle, they don't need them either. Far better to train them with a harness, you are more likely to get their co-operation.

She currently uses a halter that came out several years ago and that was designed for pullers. It's something like the gentle leader harness. That hasn't stopped her pulling. She's a perfect well-behaved dog except on the leash.

No gadget will stop a dog pulling on its own, you also have to traing them as well. Gadgets are to make the training easier.

The dogmatic headcollar has sizes for shorter nose breeds. It is a very good headcollar.
