how crate training worked for me.

following what i learned on imotd, i took the time to train my shih tzu puppy every morning before i left for work.
quite honestly it took about 2 weeks to get this result. i started by using the word crate, and luring her into it with a couple treats.
i use the crate only for her sleeping den and her safety. never punishment! when we are home, the door stays open, and sometimes we find her sleeping in it.

the video only has a little audio, because after the 2 weeks of "crate" and treat, i found i didn't have to say a word.
i still don't.
lucy knows exactly what is expected.
first i turn on the clock radio, then i reach for her treats. then she FLY'S into the crate to await her reward. all without my saying any commands.
