8 week old puppy feeding schedule

Greetings all,

For the one week that I have had my little Kelta I have been feeding her 3 times a day every 8 hours i.e. once at 8am once at 4pm and once at midnight. I did this because I read that puppies of this age should be fed 3 times a day and assumed the meals should be spaced evenly.

However my trainer mentioned that meals should be much closed together and certainly quite a few hours before sleeping time so that the puppy has eliminated by that time. It sounds reasonable so I just wanted to ask. What are good times to feed my little Kelta?

Maybe 7 in the morning then 2pm at noon and finally 7 pm at night? does that sound reasonable?

Many thanks Erica; I implemented the new feeding schedule and it's much easier on me re sleeping times etc.
