Double Trouble - 2 puppies

Post by beachbumlou »

Greetings:

I am looking for any advice, suggestions, tips etc. in regards to dealing with 2 puppies. This is a long post, so please be patient with me 8)

We recently rescued two puppies from the shelter. We went in search of one and could not separate these two – one male and female from the same litter. “Thistleâ€

how are things going with the two puppies , hard work I would guess ..
If it was me I would try to treat them individualy . The main reason is so they bond with you and not with each other so much.Sure let them play together and if they want to sleep together , thats fine ..

But train them on their own ,try to take them to training classes by themselves ,
walk them one at a time . once they have the basic training ie sit , stay , down, wait , and come when called .Then start to walk the dogs together , this will take time 6mths to a year ..

hope this helps - but like I said this is just what I would do ...
