hello.. need help..!

I just got back from a deployment. I moved into my own place and am taking the family dog, he's a 8yr old lab german shepard mix, Hercules, with me. He hasn't been trained very well and he was usually kept in the yard. I live alone and he isn't use to it. How do I make this transition smoother for him- he went from being around people everyday in a big house to living alone in an apartment? Please help.

Welcome to the forums and as Melissa says if you could do a post about you adn your dog in the dog training advice section of the forum - really give us some detail on the life he has had the the life he will have in the near future.

Then we can suggest ways to make that easier for him and you too.
