Hello from Biglerville, Pa!

Post by Deetsmum »

Hi! I'm Maria and have decided to use Victoria Stillwell's methodology on our new 4yo Gordon "GG". She hasn't had any real training of any kind, so we have our work cut out for us. We just got her on Sat. past so we have new dog, new atmosphere, other dogs to meet and great and the BIG outdoors surrounding our yard. Oh, and YES, she is quite "birdy", notices everything, forgetting us and her name. Previusly, I have utilized Richard Wolters "Family Dog" ( the old orig. book), but after catching a few episodes of "It's Me or the Dog" on Animal Planet, decided to try this way of training with "GG". Am working on leash in small contained area (for max. attention). I will keep updates as we accomplish them. Oh yes, I have the "It's Me or the Dog " book ordered & in route. I also have 3 other dogs, but at least they know their names. :D

Welcome Maria, Positive training is the way to go.
I wished I was the person my dogs thinks I am.
