Hey Y'all. I see some new "faces" here since I last visited! (Welcome to all you newbies-- newbies being anyone who joined in the last 18 months, lol). Anyway, for those who don't know me, I have two dogs, a 12 year old Springer Spaniel cross named Annie, and an eight year old English Setter (field bred) named Dottie.
For those of you who remember me, one year ago I was fired from the casino I worked at (finally! ). Apparently I said something that offended someone. Well, as the saying goes, when a door closes, somewhere a window opens. I am now a substitute teacher at the school in this town, and I absolutely love it! It's a lot less stressful, healthier (no cigarette smoke), better hours, better pay, and of course weekends and holidays off! I had the most fabulous summer!
Hubby still works at the casino as the Risk Manager. It's very stressful, and taking a toll on his health. Eldest Son still works at the casino, and recently transferred from the Hotel Desk to the the Slots Technician department (they fix and maintain the slot machines). He is a LOT happier! Younger Son is in his second year of college, at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, and loving every second of it. He will be home for Christmas.
I've been studying a lot about herbology and making salves and lip balms to give to relatives for Christmas. During my initial experimentation I discovered I am allergic to beeswax, so now I have switched to Candelilla. Much better, lol.

Long Time No See
If an opportunity comes to you in life, say yes first, even if you don't know how to do it.
Re: Long Time No See
Hello again It sounds like life is good for you - apart from your OH's job stress. I hope that situation improves soon.
