Shiloh The Catahoula!
She is a rescue from Animal Control. She was dumped off at two months old, nearly adopted by one family that then changed their mind and left her, and then we came along and fell in love with her and took her home at 6 months old. She is now 8 months old and 45 lbs and just the biggest happiest floppy eared pooch I know!
OOh yeah.... And she's deaf..

I especially like that tongue shot in the second picture. And the pink and black nose-- you don't see that kind of pigmentation every day!
If an opportunity comes to you in life, say yes first, even if you don't know how to do it.

yeah, I love her nose. The splotchy coloration is called a Dudley nose. It's actually kinda common when you have dogs with the Double merle defect.Fundog wrote:I especially like that tongue shot in the second picture. And the pink and black nose-- you don't see that kind of pigmentation every day!

i have never heard of a catahoula are they rare?
Re: Shiloh The Catahoula!
She's lovely. I hadn't heard of this breed before I moved to the south. Seems they are pretty common in the southern states. They like their hounds down here! You mentioned she's deaf, so are you training with hand signals? How's that going?
