Sometimes she will go up there if she hears someone upstairs and sit there for a little while, but she was flat out dead asleep this time  i even turned the light on and called her name and she didn't wake up!

 Rupert sleeps on the stairs a lot. Unfortunately if he hears me move he's up like a shot coz I'm incapable of walking from one room to another unaccompanied so I've never been able to get a pic of it.
This is the closest I managed to get, where I lived when I first got him. He looks so young!

had a recent "oh crap where is jack moment....." turned out he had followed me out to the garage when I was taking out the trash and didn't notice him and shut him in the garage.

didn't take long to notice though, no shadow and it was very quite...had one of those "kids are quite, what are they up to" moments, followed by the realization jack wasn't in the house....

You know, I really disliked his name when I first got him but he answered to it and because his whole world had turned upside down I kept the one thing he knew the same and it just grew on me. It really does seem to fit him somehow.

Jacksdad, I did similar the other day. I'd gone to the bathroom and not realised Rupe had followed me, went back into the living room, shut the door and locked him out in the hallway. Despite the fact he tends to sleep on the stairs when I'm in here he was most unimpressed at being shut out there  If I'd locked him outside he'd have been delighted, the neighbours decided to put their new rabbits hutch and run right up against our flimsy wire mesh fence. Rupert is convinced it's his next meal.
