The woods have lots of red squirrels, which are relatively rare in UK so I keep the dogs on leads through the prime squirrel spots, but the rest of it they can run off lead. It is a popular dog walking place, so there are always other dogs about, but there is usually enough space for everyone. There are open grassy meadows to chase rabbits in, woods, dunes to race up and down, and the sea to splash about it. The dogs absolutely love it.
We spent almost 2 and a half hours there today with Basset boys, who apparently slept all evening when we got back. Charlie and Poppy weren't tired at all and so got an extra walk afterwards as well.
