Last night a major wildfire ripped through part of our little community. A fellow dog musher who lives in the path of the flames needed to evacuate, so we brought her dogs over to our place to camp for the night.

Yes, her place is OK. The fire was right to the edge of her property when the aerial slurry bombers dropped a load that stopped it.
