Jasper warming up for a walk

Post by JudyN »

Stage one: Start whingeing. Not too loudly, no point wasting your energy.

Stage two: Streeeeeeetch out those legs!

Stage three: Time to get a bit more oxygen to the brain so you can contemplate the difficult task of getting those legs underneath you.

Yes, really, this is what he looks like when he's decided it's time to go out. But why bother shifting until your servant has closed down her pooter, gone for a wee, collected lead, muzzle, poo bags, treats, keys, etc, and got her coat & boots on? At which point he finally gets up, joins me in the hall.... walks into the front room, and decides to have another lie down for a while :x

Zeus does much the same thing, except his volume control is often broken and his pre-rising barks are sometimes loud enough to shake the windows. But Jasper's not completely alone in this quirk.

   Often times Charley must do what OH calls a "victory lap" - walking the loop from side door through living room around sofa back to side door - before consenting to be harnessed/leashed
