Actually since he's a wee Manx dog he might be more capable of replying in Gaelic than me...?

Is he definitely a border collie or might there be a touch of kelpie?

Funny you should mention that, Nettle. A chap pulled up in his car next to us the other day as we were walking, an Australian fella, and asked if he was a kelpie. Had to google it, I'd never heard of them before. He does look like it, doesn't he? He doesn't have the muscle in his chest as far as I can tell but then he's only one. The short answer is, I've no idea - MSPCA said he was border collie from working stock but the last owner didn't give a lot of info so probably not too accurate.

He's a lovely dog! And I'm being told of the kelpie resemblance everywhere I go now, I'm sure you're right I already have enough trouble explaining his name to new people though, to have to explain what a kelpie is as well would take too long so I might just say he's half-fox/half-collieSweetie's Human wrote:Looks very Kelpie-ish to me. Oh, and if you haven't seen the movie Red Dog, make sure you do. But have a box of tissues handy!

Grammy to Sky and Sirius, who came to live with me, stole my heart, and changed my life forever as I took over their care and learned how to be a dog owner.
