Wow, you've got some great pictures of a gorgeous dog! I love the ones in the forest.

Stunning-looking dog - and wonderful teeth!
Do you show him? He's good enough.

I agree with everyone else - he's gorgeous! And really gorgeous photography too. Do you mind if I ask what equipment you have?
I love the 2nd to last one in the forest, amazing lighting and he's spot on in the right place.
I also love the 2 expressions in the frisbee catching one "MINE" and "Ruh-roh!!"

jilldiane - Thank you! Lurchers have a way don't they?
bendog - Thank you! He is nuts, an absolute loony toon haha. He's got a bit of Bedlington Terrier in him so he's not all bad!
Nettle - Thanks so much! No I don't show him, never really had any interest in it so never bothered. If I go to any county game fairs during spring/summer and I take him I may enter their shows for fun on the day, but other than that I'm not really fussed! It is nice to hear he'd be able to do it though, do you show your hounds?
minkee - Thank you! Appreciate that Currently I'm using a Canon 7D as my body, and for the action shots I'm using a 70-200 f/4 L Non IS USM. Photography is only a hobby right now, so I couldn't really justify spending double the price for a f/2.8 version. Though it's on my wish list The f/4 is fast enough in decent light for me, and the depth of field wide open is more than enough to warrant saving £500 The forrest shots were taken with the cheapy 50mm 1.8 MkII lens. It's only about £70 these days, great little lens Will be 'upgrading' to a 50mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.8 soon though.

So far it's always me throwing the frisbee so not the best angles, but it kinda works...

Not now, but I do still go to most of the shows as it's a good way of catching up with people in the lurcher world, not to mention seeing lovely dogs.

Re: Introducing Pica!
I know this dog from another forum, too (not that you know me, I'm mostly a lurker ) Did swoon over a picture ummmmm your mum posted a couple of months ago?
She is a stunning looking dog and I wish I could take such pictures of mine! One of mine does enough of catching things in the air, that makes great pics.
Partial to lurchers too. Only got my first two years-ish ago but they are addictive as a few people have said
Still need to visit a show though! We're thinking Peterborough this year hopefully.
