Scout

Post by minkee »

It was gloriously hot yesterday. Far too hot for the fields, so we took to the woods and river with Scout's friend Socks. I think my ideas of getting her to swim have no chance of success :D She's terrified of losing her footing. Splashing around will do nicely instead.

Thank you Jake's Mom + Mattie <3

Okay I thought this would be the best place to add these photos, rather than to clog up anywhere else. I'm starting Scout on a raw meaty bones diet as of today, so these are the 'before' shots :) Also interested to know how people think she looks weight wise. She's my first and only dog so I don't have any other points of reference to know where is 'right'. She looks just right to me now, but that's also basically the only way I've ever seen her!

I had a hell of a job getting a 'top down' picture - I tried employing some help...

But Scout had other ideas about how useful he was!

Oh well!! At least it might help give you an idea of scale!

http://youtu.be/EDVflP0lADM <- here's a new video of Scout, with a bit more work she could become totally self employed too! :P

Oh my gosh, she's so cute. Her facial expressions remind me of my Dottie Monster, only Dottie isn't quite that smart, lol.

Thanks guys! And yes, when there's a ball involved, it's Serious-mode Scout for sure. So much so that they're usually totally banned from the house. This was a one off!

I took my camera out with me today. Scout's not the kind of pup to pause and pose; if we're outside we better be doing something fun as far as she's concerned! I managed to get a few I liked though :)

As always, Scout is gorgeous in those pictures! I love her expression in the last one - such intensity, and you can just tell she is a very intelligent dog! :D

I already posted this picture over in the 'what did your dogs do today' thread, but I love the way Scout's face looks here, so I wanted to add it to here too. In most photos she tends to have a 'will you PLEASE just stop messing about with that thing and throw the ball?' face - the above is her more natural visage!
