I agree , dals are only really for an active owner who is going to do tons of research on the breed first and then who is committed to spending lots of effort and time into the training and socialisation. My neighbour did get another dog after that a French bulldog but gave him up because the dog always snored when asleep :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: !!!!!!!!!!

I found it incredibly hard not to slap him. I mean who gets rid of a dog because of snoring!!!

I would have found that hilarious and would have loved the frenchie even more not got rid of him.

Oh man, it would be very hard not to slap him! Any breed with a pushed in face is likely to breathe loudly and snore. What did he expect? My god. And how attached to his animals is he really, if he gets rid of them for such superficial reasons? Buy him a pet rock.

The first things I would look at in any breed are health problems and life expectancy.
