Drying my puppy
My springer puppy loves going in the water, but we are unable to dry him afterwards with a towel.he wrestles with us and has even bitten us.any ideas??
Re: Drying my puppy
Do you need to dry him with a towel or can he air-dry?
You can try desensitizing him to the towel slowly - when he's not wet to start - by showing it to him, click/treat...then touching him with it, click/treat...rub once, click/treat. Build up slowly over several sessions, even several days, and in a week or two, maybe longer though, he'll be able to accept that kind of handling.
Maybe he doesn't like the way the towels feel?
