Teaching a Beginning "Stay" by Patricia McConnell

I am a huge fan of Patricia McConnell's and I read her blog regularly. I wanted to share a video of her teaching a puppy to stay. One thing I hadn't thought of when teaching "stay" is something she did here - to make the "stay" exciting and the "release" boring. The idea being if the dog sits still, he gets treats. Once the dog is released, nothing really special happens, so the staying becomes more reinforcing. Interesting stuff. And what an adorable pup she used.
