How does the toy dum-bell help in training? I saw you use it on Fiona, but I wasn't sure why.

She used the dumbbell to teach Fiona to retrieve (the end goal being to have Fiona bringing pill bottles, etc to the mother). First she taught Fiona to touch the dumbbell with her nose, then to put her mouth on it, then to pick it up and then to eventually bring it back. I don't think it actually has to be a dumbbell.

It looked like it was made of wood. When max was a puppy, we caught him gnawing on a 3 pound dumbell thinking it was a bone. He carried it up the stairs.

I know that Victoria was using the dumbell to teach Fiona how to retrive but I was wondering if she could have just started the trainng with a pill bottle cuz that's wat Florence needed. But i loved seeing Fiona duringthe retriving training!! She's adorable!!!
