I noticed Bella, who was refered to as a Weimaraner, was in my opinion, actually a fawn & tan Doberman Pinscher. She had visably distinct tan markings on her face & legs. Not every one is aware of the variety of colors Doberman's coats come in, but Weimaraners, to the best of my knowledge, do not posess this color pattern. As a purebred fancier, I hate to see a purebred dog breed misrepresented or mislabled.

Weimies do have the gene for bicolour and I have met several that have blue/taupe main body and points that are beige/tan. It's considered a fault for show...
I don't know a whole lot about the dobes and the weims history of breed creation but it is likely they have common ancestry.
