We got Baxter home today. He is a super sweet thing. We got his rabies shot after we left the shelter. He was a good boy for the vet and didn't put up a fight or fuss. Actually, we didn't even know he could make a noise until he had to go potty. When we first saw him at the shelter Friday and up to about 45 minutes into the hour long car trip home, he never made a peep. Then he starts getting antsy and makes these tiny little snorty - growly noises and a tiny short yip. You could barely hear him. In fact, my husband in the seat next to me couldn't hear him at all at first! So I figured he mat need to do some business.
He is resting right now. He played a little when we got home. He never moved faster that a very light trot which is good because he was neutered this morning. I'm gonna take him to the groomer's after the two week healing period to get the works done. He is very, very sweet and well-behaved.
Baxter is home!
