Mattie,

I'm so sorry. Merlin was loved, right through to the most unselfish
and painful decision you could make. No dog could as for a better
life.

My thoughts and sympathies will be with you. I know today will be a
very difficult one for you.

I'm so sorry, Mattie, so much sorrow to deal with in such a short time. Big hugs to you. Merlin, Joe, and Gracie are all still with you in spirit.

Oh, Mattie. You have had a lot of turmoil and loss this year. I'm so sorry. Cyber hugs to you-- don't forget to take time to cry and grieve.

Oh Mattie, I just found your post. Is there any word on him? My heart goes out to you. I just don't even know what to say. I feel so bad for you. You are a very sweet and caring person. I just wished there was something I could do for you. Please let us know what happens with him. Love you and I am sending

Thank you everyone, your support has really meant a lot.

What my dogs have taught me is how to love unconditionally, even though I feel my heart is breaking because I love Merlin it was easy to put his needs before mine. Joe and Gracie there wasn't a choice at the end, Merlin was different, it would have been harder to not let him go and watch him suffer, I could't let him suffer.

When we love unconditionally we put them first. People who don't let their animals go, are very selfish, all they are thinking about is themselves.
